Welcome to Park Forest Elementary School,
home of the PFE Penguins,
one of nine elementary schools in the State College Area School District.
Our school community includes 484 students with approximately 100 staff members, including 51 teachers, 46 support staff and 4 PSU interns, supporting them.
Our current building opened September 1, 2005.
Park Forest is a K-5 school dedicated to the historic purpose of schooling: preparing young people to participate thoughtfully and actively in our democratic society. Our practices are based on the principle that the role of education in a democracy is to sensitize young people to the delicate balance between individual growth and community responsibility.
